which cover the whole world and when used with a terrain mesh like
fsglobal it brings FS alive.
The many different colours from region to region and seasonal change
within each region also helps to make it a great package. At the price
currently its certainly great value. The only time i dont use it is in

Last time I reviewed FScene, I couldn't help wondering why Microsoft didn't just go out and hire Ruud to do the FS2004 textures for them.
Now I have the luxury of going back and taking a second look at them, I find I still think that way, so I guess these textures from the flying Dutchman deserve their Armchair Aviator Award. Unlike so many addons, Ruud's textures have made a permanent home on my hard disk. Andrew

Why FScene4X ?
THE PROBLEM WAS:
Because of the many changes in Microsoft's new flightsimulator X the use of
previous FScene versions works out very disappointing in FSX.
Ugly "gaps" in the terrain because many FSX textures will not be replaced by
FScene for FS9.
Moreover the difference in color between FSX and FScene for FS9 shows very prominently.
THE SOLUTION IS:
That's why I rearranged and added many textures for FScene (FS9) to fit FSX and at
the same time I left many advantages of FSX intact, thus combining the best of two worlds.
For those who wish to relive the good old FScene days,
here's your chance.
If you still wish to use flightsimulator FS2004 (FS9) the good news is that in every FScene4X
pack the same set for use in FS9 is included as a bonus.
FScene4X Packs always include 2 complete sets of FScene:
the one for use in FSX
the one for use in FS9
Please note:
When installing in FSX always use the new FScene4X version.
FScene4X will merge nicely
with the great advantages of FSX.
FScene does not affect your Frame Rates and all autogen has been

About FScene in general (there's so much to enjoy....)
This innovative software transforms the default scenery textures of Flight
